Contrary to popular belief, creating compelling and result-driven articles can be a piece of cake. Anyone, including those who don’t have the flair for writing can excel in this field as long as they follow these 6 effective methods:

1. Create a working title. Don’t start pounding on your key board unless you have a title for your article. Why? The reason for this is very simple: a working title can help you effectively limit the scope of your articles so you can make your content more focused. For instance, if you want to talk about article marketing, which is a very broad topic, you may use “Article Marketing: How to Write a Keyword-Rich Article”. By doing so, you’ll know right away what information to look for when doing your research.

2. Kick-start your articles with interesting quotes or thought-provoking questions. You need to find ways on how you can hook your readers early on so you can get them to read your articles in their entirety. You can grab their attention if you arouse their curiosity on your first paragraph. For instance, if you are writing about weight loss, you can kick-start your article using this question: “are you tired of being overweight?” This will surely grab the attention of those people who are having problems with weight gain and obesity which are your target market.

3. Ensure the quality of your articles. Keep in mind that online users will gauge your expertise and your credibility base on the quality of your articles so you better ensure that they are well-written, highly informative, organized, easy to understand, direct to the point, and highly relevant to the needs and demands of your prospects.

4. Use effective writing formats. If you want your articles to become highly scannable, I recommend that you use question and answer, tips list, and how-to writing formats that are truly easy on the eyes.

5. Be confident. Don’t give your readers a single reason to doubt your knowledge on your chosen niche. Avoid using terms that can make you sound doubtful and project an air of authority by delivering your messages with strong conviction.

6. Create a killer resource box. If you intend to publish your articles on submission sites (ex. EzineArticles and goarticles dot com), make sure that you use a powerful resource box that can get your readers to give your website a visit.
